Like other first-person shooters, in CoD: Black Ops 7, choosing the right weapon is crucial, and high-durability armor is equally essential, often key to survivability in multiplayer games.
Golden Armor is a powerful piece of equipment that almost every player in Black Ops 7 should acquire, as it automatically regenerates your armor over time, eliminating the need to collect armor plates.
Furthermore, Golden Armor has a higher base durability than regular armor, absorbing more damage and significantly improving survivability. This continuous regeneration makes it easier to handle challenging levels and boss battles, especially when completing daily challenges in CoD BO7 bot lobbies.
Here, IGGM shares a quick guide to help you unlock Golden Armor in BO7 as soon as possible.
Unlocking Grim Relics
First, Golden Armor is only obtainable in Cursed Mode. To activate it, you need to equip three Grim Relics. Once all are activated, you unlock Tier I difficulty in Cursed Mode, and Golden Armor is unlocked.
Next, we’ll explain in detail how to easily unlock all three Grim Relics needed to activate Golden Armor: Lawyer’s Pen, Dragon Wings, and Teddy Bear.
Completing Prerequisite Missions
However, before entering Cursed Mode to find these relics, you must first complete the main Easter Egg questline, Ashes of the Damned, in Standard Mode. Note that all these Relic Easter Eggs can only be unlocked in Cursed Mode starting from round 20.
After completing the quest and watching the cutscene, you need to interact with the mysterious object at the end of the dock. Doing so will trigger a notification that the relics have been released and can now be found in Cursed Mode.
Having met this prerequisite, let IGGM teach you how to unlock these three relics.
Dragon Wings
So, let’s start with the easiest one to unlock: Dragon Wings. At round 20 or later, you’ll need a ranged weapon, such as Assault Rifles or LMGs. Make sure your weapon has been Pack-A-Punched, then jump from Vandon Farm to Janice Towers Plaza.
On your way to the plaza, you’ll notice three purple targets. You need to shoot them before returning to the plaza. One is on your left, one directly in front of you, and one on your right. If you hit all three targets, they will disappear, and you’ll hear a laugh.
If you miss a target, don’t worry. Just jump back and try again.
Once you’ve successfully hit all three targets, head to Vandon Farm, go to the right side of the barnhouse, and you’ll see a green portal.
Approach the portal, and you’ll see the words Relic Trials. Interacting with the portal will transport you to a four-wave trial. Note that Power-Ups will deal damage when touched.
In the first wave, simply eliminate zombies until the kill count bar is fully filled.
In the second wave, you need to eliminate all High Value Targets (HVTs) on the map. These high-value targets will appear twice and are marked. Don’t worry about not being able to eliminate all the zombies; just focus on the high-value targets, as the wave ends once you eliminate them.
The third wave is the same as the first; simply eliminate zombies until the kill count bar is fully filled. You can also activate traps to help you eliminate zombies.
The fourth and final wave is the same as the second; you need to eliminate the marked HVTs. Eliminating these target enemies isn’t difficult, but the dense hordes of zombies will surround you. Speed and efficiency are key to clearing them faster. All advice is to practice with bots in BO7 bot lobbies to improve your kill skills before starting the trial!
Upon completion, you will be teleported back to the normal map, and a notification will pop up indicating the trial is complete. At this point, you will unlock Dragon Wings. This relic disables the spawning of normal power-ups, including Max Ammo from Ravager Round and any power-ups that naturally drop from zombies.
Lawyer’s Pen
Next, we need to find the second relic – Lawyer’s Pen. Unlocking it is simple: just equip Napalm Burst Ammo Mod on your weapon, as you’ll need to use this Napalm Burst to shoot three candles in different locations on the map.
The first candle is on the bedside table to the left of the bed on the second floor of the farmhouse. Shooting it will light the candle.
The second candle is in one of Lost Cabins, the closest cabin to Ashwood on the right. Inside the cabin, there’s a candle on the table next to the wardrobe.
The third and final candle is on a shelf downstairs in Ruby Rabbit in Ashwood.
If you shoot all three candles correctly, you should hear Mr. Peeks laughing.
Next, we head to the farm. Next to the barn, there’s a Relic Trial sign that says all zombies are Shock Mimics.
The first wave of the trial aims to eliminate all Shock Mimics until the remaining kill count is full. Since you’ll need to eliminate a large number of monsters, it’s strongly recommended to use powerful weapons at least Pack-A-Punch level 2, as these mimics are very durable.
In the second wave, you need to focus your fire on eliminating all the High Value Target Biters on the map. They will be marked, but their health is much higher than regular Mimics. The most dangerous thing about these Mimics is that if you get too close, they will grab you and pull you in, causing massive damage. Therefore, always maintain distance when eliminating these targets.
The third wave is the same as the first; all zombies are Shock Mimics. You only need to eliminate them to advance to the fourth wave.
The last wave is exactly the same as the second wave. You need to focus on eliminating HVT Mimics as quickly as possible to complete the trial.
Upon completion of the trial, you will unlock Lawyer’s Pen relic. In Cursed Mode, this relic allows Mimics to permeate the map, meaning there will be many fake objects on the ground that turn into Mimics when you approach.
Teddy Bear
The third and final relic is the Teddy Bear.
To complete this challenge, you need Necrofluid Gauntlet and Aether Shroud field upgrade, and more than 20 rounds in the game. However, there are 10 locations on the map where you need to use Aether Shroud to collect Mr. Peeks’ parts, some of which are quite tricky.
If you want a shortcut, you can buy CoD Black Ops 7 bot lobbies from IGGM and quickly collect all the necessary items in a stress-free environment.

Once you have collected all 10 parts, you will hear Mr. Peeks’ laughter.
Next, head to Vandon Farm; there is a Relic Trial portal to the left of the shed. In this trial, each weapon shot consumes 100 Essence, so each shot at a zombie deducts points.
However, the best ways to avoid deducting points are:
- First, activate traps to eliminate zombies;
- Second, carry a Monkey Bomb, so you can kill zombies with bombs even without firing a gun;
- Third, equip a Necrofluid Gauntlet. Its recall effect, while still deducting points, will significantly reduce the actual deduction because of the recall function.
In the first wave, you need to kill zombies until the remaining kill count is completely filled.
In the second wave, you need to kill a clone of an HVT, which is easy.
In the third wave, you simply need to kill zombies until the kill bar is filled.
The fourth wave is the same as HVT wave; you only need to kill clones of high-value targets.
After completion, you will be teleported back and receive Teddy Bear. This relic reduces the turn start delay by 75%, almost the same as Rampage Inducer.
Activating Golden Armor
Now, to unlock Golden Armor in Cursed Mode, you need to activate all three relics before entering the game.
Once you check Activate all relics box, you’ll see Tier 1 Golden Armor unlock progress bar light up, meaning that if we confirm all relics are activated and enter Cursed Mode, our game will naturally become very difficult because we’ve enabled the effects of these three relics. This means there will be Mimics invading the map, turn delays will be reduced by 75%, and Power-Ups won’t spawn naturally.
But as a reward for this difficulty, once you obtain Tier 2 armor, or even Tier 3 armor, it will transform into Golden Armor. This is a piece of armor that regenerates automatically, slowly over time, but costs 45,000 points.
Regardless, Golden Armor is a crucial piece of armor you almost shouldn’t miss in Black Ops 7 Cursed Mode because it allows armor plates to automatically regenerate over time, eliminating the need to search for or manually replenish them during gameplay. This significantly increases your chances of survival, especially when fighting bosses or encountering dangerous situations. IGGM hopes this guide helps you unlock this key armor as quickly as possible. Good luck!
